Each mug is a unique combination of colors and textures including wishpuffs, butterflies and bees.

Each mug is made with a sturdy brown stoneware clay, them they are coated in 3 coats of hand-brushed, liquid clay pigmented with white. Then, each, pigmented clay butterfly, wishpuff and bee are hand applied. Once the transfers have dried, the fun begins. Each mug is dusted in a fairy dust of tiny glaze chips to create the impression of a breezy afternoon without a care in the world. Finally, the mugs are coated with 3 coats of clear glaze. Since the design is created using pigmented clay, when fired in the kiln, all of the design becomes part of the clay body of the pot. As a result, the design will never wear off, scratch, or fade. This is not a decal, all of the design work is made from clay.

Hand-thrown and hand-signed using sturdy and functional brown stoneware clay produced in Montana. These pots are built to last, made to be used and bring a little smile to your day.

I create in small batches. Each piece is thrown in the likeness of the next, hand-crafted, and with hand-brushed glazing. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.

Food-safe materials. Dishwasher and microwave safe, although I hand wash and shy away from microwaving my hot beverages.
