Specially designed as a yarn bowl to hold your yarn and project and as a Crafter's Catch-all to hold all those treasured tools so they are ready for use or for just gazing upon as you craft away the hours.
This yarn bowl/crafter's catch-all has been the model for this Cobalt Blue glaze. The effects of this glaze are developed by using specific brushes and layering the glaze so that when the heat of the kiln gets things moving, all the tones of cobalt with the halo of almost white highlights develop as the glaze flows. I have held this pot in the studio to help remind me about the application of the glaze and now, I feel like this pot has waited long enough to find its forever home and to bring bright smiles and good cheer to whoever opts to welcome it into their fiber arts world.
This pot comes with 4" Bonsai Snips - designed after a 300 year old design and very sharp - great for crafting!
Hand-thrown and hand-signed using durable and functional brown stoneware clay produced in Montana. Each pot is hand-brushed with at least 6 coats of glazing, ensuring a thick blanket of glass for long-time use.
I create in small batches. Each piece is thrown in the likeness of the next, hand-crafted, and with hand-brushed glazing. I hope you’ll agree variations in color, small marks from the minerals and stone in the clay, or slight sways in design resulting from working with natural materials create the charm expected and treasured in handmade pottery.
